Timothy James McVeigh was born in April 23, 1968 in Pendleton, United States. And dead in June 11, 2001 in Terre Haute, United States was a United States Army soldier. This men became very famous because he was guilty of puting the bomb in the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. Leaving a balance of 168 dead people, and 500 injured.
He grew up in the west of New York, and in 1979 their parents divorced and let him to choose who was he going to live with.
In 1988 he decided to join the United States Army, because the United States Congress wanted to ban the possesion of fire arms to civilians.
In the United States Army he met 2 persons that has the same points of view of him about government.
In 1991 he went to war, and this episode afected him emotionally a lot. When he return to the United States he suffered from posttraumatic stress.
In 1994, the United States Congress was about to ban the possesion of fire arms to civilians. And this is when he decide to put the bomb.
In April 19, 1995 he parked a van-bomb in front of Alfred P. Murrah building, where there were FBI offices and a nursery for employees’ children. After leaving the van, he tried to scape, in vain, the police caught him.
168 persons were killed (19 children), and 500 were injured.
McVeigh said that his intention wasn’t to kill children. But he didn’t feel sorry for them, he said that it wasn’t more than “collateral damage”.
